NUDE DRAWING – INTENSIVE COURSE on Lanzarote 2016 and 2017
In May 2016 we organized the first time a nude drawing class on the Canarian island
for all interested people from all over and over all, for all artist living on the island.
We intended to establish this kind of workshop once or twice a year.

IDENTIY – from individualities to european characters
The SYMPOSIUM IDENTIY – from individualities to european characters invites young peope between 18-30 years to take part in an international and intercultural exchange.
The identity of the people does not constitute whatsoever unique essence or an immutable essence. The formation of an identity for the American philosopher George Herbert Mead relies heavily on social interactions of individuals with other people. This is done via language and various means of communication, such as gestures and facial expressions or creative action.
In this symposium, we will explore the creative interactions in context of the identity of the individual as well as the identity with respect to a group, the island of Lanzarote, Spain, Europe … and in practical-artistic and theoretical work. In addition to the question of individual identity development we are interested how we can push through the language of creativity an identity-forming element by an active exchange of our actions within a heterogeneous group with young people from different European countries.

Realities is a video documentation about artists who live on the Canary island Lanzarote or come from there.
REALIDADES Realities is a video documentation about artists who live on the Canary island Lanzarote or come from there. The question which accompanied me during the preparation was which possibilities have artist on the island today, to help giving shape actively towards the diverse changes for a living society. Which possibilities arise for the social and political forces to incorporate artist in the future creation. Because the island Lanzarote can look back in the 70s and 80s at a positive cooperation between the government and the artist Cesar Manrique, a focus also lay on the question to what extent contemporary artists are allowed today to cooperate initially at an equal position.

UTOPIA SIMPOSIO 2015
With the UTOPIA SYMPOSIUM 2015, we continue the UTOPIA – series that 2013 started as an international Symposium of the Arts for artistic exchange and international cooperation on Lanzarote. International artists, students and art educators of all art disciplines are invited to exchange ideas in an active artistic dialogue. The aim is to investigate behaviors that shape from artistic processes out to their applicability in the real world.
THE UTOPIA SERIE How can we, acting as artists, intervene insocial and/or political processes? How can we create room for our intellectual approach in the area we are living outside. With the crisis in Europe which is really evident on the Canary Island Lanzarote, we will ask ourselves whether and how we develop utopias as art-creatives and if impulses for another perception will be able. Besides, not the results are primarily important but working actively together on a subject, exchanging ourselves, taking notice,…. etc. These questions could be a starting point to create. We will also get to know places of the surroundings, getting to know artists living on the island, etc. . Starting points could also be special aspects of the island (the island as a life place, Atlantis, Europe, tourism, sustainability…) as well as personal aspects (dreams, images of ideal places…) which the participant artists allow to kick with each other in the dialogue.

TU VISIÒN 2011-2015
“WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR LANZAROTE, PERSONALLY; SOCIALLY; CULTURALLY AND REGARDING THE ASPECTS OF A SUSTAINIBLE WAY OF LIVING”
By the end of 2014, 365 people on the Canary Island of Lanzarote were asked about their vision of the future for the island. There are more than 110 different nations living on the island. All have different intentions and perspectives. This video work has been realized for the Biosphere Reserve Lanzarote.

Hasta el fin de 2014, 365 personas de todos los estratos sociales en Lanzarote se responden esta prgunta. Intentamos lograr una diversidad ancha de más de 110 naciones diferentes que viven en Lanzarote. Esperamos que nos apoyáis con sus propios videos respondiendo la pregunta.

LIVING SUSTAINIBLE 2015
Also with this workshop we continued the cooperation with the Berlin based organisation “art aspects”.
We visited people and organisations like the WWF and the Bioshere Reserve that have the aim to live sustainable. We will visited hereby Zonzamas, the garbage incineration plant in the middle of the island, located in an old vulcano, formerly used as a sacred place….imagine this!!! We made interviews with different kind of people, asking them what kind of possibilities they see living sustainable.

TRACES OF YOUR CULTURE 2014
In the workshop “TRACES OF YOUR CULTURE” we were searching for answers to the question, which characters can be read out from the traces of our culture for us today. What interpretations do we get regarding these traces because of half-knowledge or lack of knowledge and how can we use the results for us today. We will work with means of the arts, making drawings and sketches, videographic explorations and photographic investigations.
The questions lead us to creative results ….with performances, short films, through dance and installation ……
UTOPIA SYMPOSIUM 2014
Once again, people from different countries met on the island Lanzarote for an international exchange. It is, that these artistic processes encourage us to continue with a new symposium in 2016. We will herefore deepen our collaboration with art aspects in Berlin and trying to get Swizz organisations to be involved, for the next symposium is for students between 18 and 30 years.
Again we have had a fantastic time on the island, working with different people from all around Europe, having intens discussions about the variety of artistic works, making visits to galeries, visiting performances and, last but not least, having fun.

UTOPIA SYMPOSIUM 2013
The first UTOPIA SYMPOSIUM on Lanzarote started 2013 with 15 people from 5 different nations, coming together to work and discuss and celebrate in the end. We have had a very intensive time all together and it was a real adventure for everybody. We were glad that we have had a final exhibition , accompanied by a concert of the group VELLO PUBLICO.

AQUI VIVIMOS 2012-2013
The project AQUÍ VIVIMOS started during two journeys to the Canarian Island EL HIERRO, together with the Swiss artist Patrick Germanier. We will show a very short introduction to the beginning, followed by a presentation during the performance festival “Lo que llevo el viento II” in Arrecife, Lanzarote in March 2013.
From July 2012 until March 2013 we are going to work on a realisation for the spanish festival “Mirada de las mujeres” in 2013. It builds upon the first documentation we have realised with interviews of artists that have been born, living and/ or working on the Canarian Island Lanzarote, showing their work, taking time to talk about their ideas and visions.
